In recent years, Australia’s regional property markets have seen waves of growth:

Western Australia, Queensland, and South Australia have all taken turns leading the charge,

even Darwin has surged in the past few months .

 

In contrast, Victoria, New South Wales, and Tasmania have slowed after their explosive gains in 2020. This year, regional Victoria towns like Bendigo have been booming again   and are likely to lead nationally.

Next in line, however, I believe several key regional cities in New South Wales could become the next hot spots.

Based on growth trends, fundamentals, and supply–demand balance, the four NSW regional cities most worth watching right now are: Albury, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, and Tamworth.

On-the-ground sentiment: Listings are scarce in Tamworth, competition is fierce in Albury,

and Dubbo has clearly heated up over the past two months with noticeable price jumps.
